 NAMBOTIN again…

During the Enduro World Championship’s Scandinavian tour – Sweden & Finland, the stars of the EWC were faced with two completly different Xtreme tests. In Karlsborg, Sweden they were met with a 100 per cent artificial and very technical test, while the Heinola, Finland they faced a motocross based track that was much faster and spectacular.
Despite their differences the tests ensured spectators two great shows and two different winners…

KNIGHT, then NAMBOTIN…

All started well for David KNIGHT (GB) in Sweden with two superb victories that put him in first place in the standings, but a big crash on the first day in Finland resulted in him losing everything. It was Christophe NAMBOTIN (F), who had difficulties in Sweden, who took advantage with a double win in Finland. He also moved into the lead of the HVA Xtreme Test Award and now has a 33 point lead over Knight. He could, with another good result, win the title on the first day of the Grand Prix AMV of France.
Third on the podium, Pierre-Alexandre RENET (F) could fight with Knight in France – the only one to prevent NAMBOT’ from winning the TE 449 prize. But he will have to do much better than in Sweden, where he failed to finish inside the top 15.
As in the Mika Ahola "Brave One" Trophy, a three-way race has emerged for the fourth and fifth positions, a battle between Cristobal GUERRERO (E), Antoine MEO (F) and Juha SALMINEN (SF). The three riders have experienced some problems in the Xtremes during the last two rounds of the series.
Special mention to Aigar LEOK (EST) who completed an excellent Grand Prix of Finland with a second and a first place result in the HVA Xtreme Test Award to go back in the 8th place in the provisional rankings.

Christophe NAMBOTIN thus dominates the discussion and could win the HVA Xtreme Test Award on Saturday in Brignoles on 20th and 21st of October. But David KNIGHT and Pierre-Alexandre RENET have not said their last words and will play their last cards in the hope of coming away with the beautiful bike on offer from Husqvarna Racing.
